In this assignment, you’ll create a one-sentence mission statement for your course.
With the help of a simple template, you’ll describe what your course will accomplish for you and how.
Here’s basic template:
I'm on a mission to [Objective] by creating a [Type] course to [Role]
Here are some notes to help you:
- Objective can be taken directly from the list of mission names, or adapted from one of the options on that list. For instance, “Monetise Your Audience” could become “monetise my parenting blog audience”.
- Type is the type of course (mini, do it yourself, hybrid, or flagship) best-suited to achieving that objective, as described in the mission templates.
- Role is the role your course will play in achieving the mission and should follow logically from the objective and the role. Refer to the mission templates for inspiration.

- “I’m on a mission to automate my income by creating a do it yourself course to sell on autopilot and generate passive income.”
- “I’m on a mission to attract new leads for my copywriting business by creating a mini course to use as a lead magnet on my website.”
- “I’m on a mission to streamline my coaching business by creating a hybrid course to lead clients through some of my core concepts and exercises.”
