Here's a short list of course-related tools I recommend based on personal experience.

Course Platforms

These are platforms for hosting your online course content, and maybe your entire business.

Podia's a great all-in-one platform (i.e., website, email and products) at a reasonable price. I use it for my courses and this very website!

Thinkific is intuitive to use and has advanced features if you need them. It's one of the leading platforms and is likely to remain so.

Email marketing tools help you build a list of subscribers and send emails to them at scale.

I've used Kit/ConvertKit since early 2022. It's user-friendly and its Creator Network is great for generating new signups.

Analytics tools help you understand where your website traffic is coming from.

Fathom is a privacy-first alternative to Google Analytics that's easier to use and less complex to understand.

Here are some other tools I use on a regular basis and recommend to other course creators.

SetApp is a software subscription that gives you access to 100+ different Mac and iOS based apps. Many are valuable to course creators.

Notion is how I organise my entire business, from project management to content creation. It's the Swiss Army knife of creator tools.
