đź“‹ Instructions
You’ll select the platform for your full launch (if different from your beta) and then perform the setup steps required to get your course up and running.
👣 Steps
- Considering the various factors outlined in the lesson and referring to my list of recommended platforms, choose the platform you’ll use for hosting your course. Keep in mind:
- You’ll never compare all the platforms side by side
- No platform is 100 percent perfect for you
- The platform you choose with isn’t a forever decision
- Complete your Site Setup: the basic configuration you’ll need to do immediately after creating an account on your course platform
- Configure any Integrations: getting your course platform working smoothly with any external tools like payment processors
- Complete your Course Setup: getting your course content uploaded and correctly configured on your chosen platform
- Complete your Community Setup: the configuration required to provide a member community (if you’re providing one inside your course)
- Add your Onboarding Content: the additional content and configuration you’ll need to welcome new students into your course
đź’ˇ Tips
- All course platforms have a learning curve, some being steeper than others. Just remember that most platforms have online knowledge bases and user communities where you can get help. Alternatively you can hire an expert to perform the setup steps for you.
- Once everything is set up, I recommend making a test purchase using a different email address (and browser) to your main one so that you can experience your course exactly as a student would. Step through the content and onboarding materials and check carefully for any issues.
