📋 Instructions
Based on your personal strengths and preferences, you’ll choose a specific lesson style (a.k.a. content format) for creating your course.
As a reminder, here are the three main styles:
- Talking head-style – the main focus is YOU speaking directly to the camera
- Slideshow-style – the main focus is the SLIDES in your lesson slide deck
- Blog-style – the main focus is the TEXT on the page (plus any added media)
Note: for most people I recommend the style taught in Quick Course Videos – essentially a simple Slideshow-style lesson with added webcam video.
👣 Steps
To complete this assignment you’ll simply need to:
- Review the first module (Getting Started) of Quick Course Videos.
- Decide whether the lesson style described in the module is likely to work for you – if not, choose one of the other styles instead.
💡 Tips
- You don’t have to be 100% confident about your choice of lesson style. In upcoming assignments you’ll get some hands-on experience creating content using this style – and if that prompts you to reevaluate your choice, that’s fine.
