You’ll choose the format of your free training and then build out the content, either as an email mini-course or a slide deck to be delivered in a webinar.
👣 Steps
- Choose between an email mini-course and a live webinar for your free training, remembering that:
- Generally speaking a mini course works better for an evergreen launch, and a webinar works better for an open/close launch.
- Webinar content is usually quicker to create, but running a live webinar puts more pressure on you to deliver it effectively.
- Brainstorm ideas for the three core elements of your free training:
- Hidden Hurdle: a specific issue at the start of the journey that’s blocking your target market’s progress towards their goal and is either not on their radar or they don’t understand its importance.
- Magic Method: your unique approach to overcoming the hidden hurdle, mostly likely drawn directly from your course; this needs to be distinctive and feel like a fresh strategy or perspective.
- Time-saving Tool or Tactic: an easy-to-use tool or tactic that relates directly to the magic method and helps people achieve a small but meaningful win within a short timeframe (e.g., 10 minutes).
- Create your email mini course (six text-based emails) or webinar content (six-part slide deck) using the following overall structure:
- Give a Warm Welcome
- Introduce the “Hidden Hurdle”
- Reveal Your “Magic Method”
- Share a Time-Saving Tool or Tactic
- Recap and Reveal the Road Map
- Pivot to the Pitch
