You’ll choose the format of your free training and then build out the content, either as an email mini-course or a slide deck to be delivered in a webinar.

👣 Steps

  1. Choose between an email mini-course and a live webinar for your free training, remembering that:
    1. Generally speaking a mini course works better for an evergreen launch, and a webinar works better for an open/close launch.
    2. Webinar content is usually quicker to create, but running a live webinar puts more pressure on you to deliver it effectively.
  2. Brainstorm ideas for the three core elements of your free training:
    1. Hidden Hurdle: a specific issue at the start of the journey that’s blocking your target market’s progress towards their goal and is either not on their radar or they don’t understand its importance.
    2. Magic Method: your unique approach to overcoming the hidden hurdle, mostly likely drawn directly from your course; this needs to be distinctive and feel like a fresh strategy or perspective.
    3. Time-saving Tool or Tactic: an easy-to-use tool or tactic that relates directly to the magic method and helps people achieve a small but meaningful win within a short timeframe (e.g., 10 minutes).
  3. Create your email mini course (six text-based emails) or webinar content (six-part slide deck) using the following overall structure:
    1. Give a Warm Welcome
    2. Introduce the “Hidden Hurdle”
    3. Reveal Your “Magic Method”
    4. Share a Time-Saving Tool or Tactic
    5. Recap and Reveal the Road Map
    6. Pivot to the Pitch
