Choosing between a longer and shorter version and following the structure in the lesson you’ll create an effective sales page for your full course.

👣 Steps

  1. First, choose between a longer or shorter sales page: longer is better for larger, pricier courses; shorter is better for smaller, cheaper courses.
  2. If creating a longer sales page, use the following structure:
    1. Promise + Positioning: call out the target audience, articulate your course’s central promise and talk about its unique advantage.
    2. Problem + Pain: describe the problem your course solves for your target market and empathise with (and amplify) the pain it causes.
    3. Personal Story: show that you personally understand the problem by telling a relatable story (about you, or someone else, e.g., a client)
    4. Programme (Benefits + Features): introduce your course as the solution to the problem(s) faced by your target market and list its most persuasive benefits and features.
    5. Provider: introduce yourself as the programme’s instructor and creator, and establish your expert credentials.
    6. Proof: include some short quotes or short videos from “beta” students to provide evidence that your course/method works.
    7. Prompt (or CTA): include logistical information and prompt potential customers to take the next step (e.g., sign up, book a call, etc.)
    8. Bonuses: describe any additional content or benefits that customers get if they sign up within a given timeframe.
    9. Guarantee: describe any guarantee you offer buyers (e.g., 30 days unconditional refund) to lessen the perceived risk of signing up.
    10. FAQs: answer any remaining questions buyers might have and handle any potential objections.
  3. For a shorter, more minimal sales page you can:
    1. Omit the Personal Story section and use the Provider section for any information about your relevant experiences
    2. Omit some or all of the Bonuses, Guarantee and FAQs sections (you can easily roll the guarantee into another section, e.g., Prompt).
    3. Make heavier use of bullet points to distil the information down to its essentials
  4. Build the sales page using the page builder functionality available in your chosen course platform, or create a page on your existing website.
